While capturing a scene familiar to so many, this piece highlights all that passes from mother to daughter through the culture of care. Elements of the painting are reflected between both subjects, such as colors or collage pieces, illustrating how information is passed in these moments. The texture on this piece reflects that these interactions are not always smooth, and through shared time and experience, this texture adds to the beauty of the moment. I titled this Mother's Stories as I imagined stories being passed down while caring for her daughter.
